Based upon an annual parallax shift of 37.57 mas as seen from the Earth,[ the star is located about 87 light years from the Sun. It is visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of +5.081.[3]]This is a yellow-white hued, F-type main sequence star with a stellar classification of F2 V.[4] It is an estimated 1.6[10] billion years old and is spinning with a projected rotational velocity of 69 km/s.[16] The star has 1.29[11] times the mass of the Sun and around 1.8[12] times the Sun's radius, with an effective temperature of 6,892 K.[11] In Chinese, {{lang|zh|哭}} ({{lang|zh-Latn|Kū}}), meaning Crying, refers to an asterism consisting of μ Capricorni and 38 Aquarii.[1] Consequently, μ Capricorni itself is known as {{lang|zh|哭一}} ({{lang|zh-Latn|Kū yī}}, {{lang-en|the First Star of Crying}}.).[2] From this Chinese name, the name Kuh was appeared.[30] References1. ^{{zh icon}} 中國星座神話, written by 陳久金.
