He died in around 675 and was buried in the church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Malmesbury. His bones were cast out in the 11th century by the Norman abbot Warin of Lyre and relegated to a far corner of St. Michael's Church.[2] Notes1. ^1 2 3 Lapidge, "Máeldub" 2. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/wilts/vol3/pp210-231|title=Victoria County History: Wiltshire: Vol 3 pp210–231 – House of Benedictine monks: Abbey of Malmesbury|year=1956|website=British History Online|publisher=University of London|accessdate=5 September 2018|editor-first1=R.B.|editor-last1=Pugh|editor-first2=Elizabeth|editor-last2=Crittall}} References
