It is famous for Cotton weaving Sarees, Lungies, Dress Material, Desamma Temple, Kariyamanikyam Venkateswara Swmay Temple(TTD),SaiBaba Temple and Bananas LocationIt is location 444 km from Capital City and 67 km from District Headquarters. It was establishment as a 3rd grade municipality in the year 2005.
