It is one of seven colleges under the JIS Group, a Sikh minority group and a member of Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI).[1] AdmissionAdmission for B. Tech. courses is held through WBJEE and JEE Main. Admission for M. Tech. courses is held through GATE and PGET.[2] AffiliationsThe college is affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).[3] It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the years 2015–2016,[4] accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a "B" grade until the end of 2019,[5] and some of the courses also have National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accreditation for the year 2018 or 2019.[6] Ranking{{Infobox India university ranking| type = University and college | NIRF_E_2018 = 101–150 }} The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked Narula Institute of Technology in the 101–150 band among engineering colleges in 2018.
