}} Net.goth (or sometimes just netgoth) is short for usenet goth. The term is used to describe regulars of the alt.gothic hierarchy of newsgroups, uk.people.gothic and aus.culture.gothic. Over time it has come to be misunderstood to more generally describe goths with an online presence and sometimes the websites that allow them to communicate. With the ubiquity of the internet this wider meaning has become redundant.
