Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS), has in past years, held a national final to select their entry. The final was held at the NOS TV Studios in Hilversum, hosted by Paul de Leeuw and Linda de Mol. 10 songs sang in the final and, using a 50/50 jury/televoting method, the winner was decided to be Marleen van den Broek, better known as Marlayne, with the song "One Good reason".
