Reception{{expand section|date=January 2015}}Reception to the film was mixed. With praises for its performances such as David Hasselhoff; but lack of execution and dialogue. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 16%. [3][1][4][5] In 2016 Neil Calloway called it a "schlocky throwaway TV movie" with "some fantastically tongue in cheek quoteable lines...but in all honesty the film has dated like only a bad TV movie shot in Vancouver in the late 1990s could."[6] Home media releaseNick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. was released on DVD on September 30, 2008 exclusively at Best Buy stores.[7]References1. ^1 {{cite web |url=http://twitchfilm.com/reviews/2011/12/marvel-in-the-90s-nick-fury-agent-of-shield-review.php |title=Marvel In The 90's: NICK FURY AGENT OF SHIELD Review |last=Brown |first=Todd |date=December 5, 2011 |website=Twitch Film |publisher= |access-date=December 9, 2011 |quote= |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20111208004409/http://twitchfilm.com/reviews/2011/12/marvel-in-the-90s-nick-fury-agent-of-shield-review.php |archive-date=December 8, 2011}} 2. ^As spelled officially by Marvel Comics on its S.H.I.E.L.D. page, although misspelled with a male name and spelled with different Italian article as "Valentina Allegro de Fontaine" in her name's first two mentions, in Strange Tales #159, "Spy School", 10, panel 6, and Strange Tales #162, "So Evil, the Night" p.3, panel 6. 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://movieline.com/2012/05/25/david-hasselhoff-avengers-nick-fury-samuel-jackson/ |title=David Hasselhoff: I Was ‘The Ultimate Nick Fury’ |last=Yamato |first=Jen |date=May 25, 2012 |website=Movieline |publisher= |access-date=May 26, 2012 |quote=}} 4. ^{{cite web |url=http://ign.com/articles/2008/09/30/nick-fury-agent-of-shield-dvd-review |title=Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
