It is the only road (non-ferry) that connects Bremanger municipality to the rest of the mainland. The bridge is {{convert|401|m}} long, and the longest span is {{convert|230|m}}. The bridge was opened in 1987. It is located about {{convert|15|km}} east of the town of Florø, {{convert|2.5|km}} north of the village of Grov, and about {{convert|3|km}} west of the village of Norddalsfjord.[2] See also
