BackgroundNotre Dame was established in 1951. Notre Dame is the only Catholic high school between Buffalo and Rochester. Notre Dame High School is consistently ranked at the top of Business First of Buffalo's High School Rankings.{{Citation needed|date=December 2010}} The school serves 9-12 grades in a college prep curriculum. Additionally, the school is consistently at the top of the Genesee-Region and Section V athletics in several sports each year. Assistant Principal, Athletic Director and Boys' Basketball Coach Mike Rapone became the Section V Basketball Coach to have amassed the most wins in February 2010. They do not make cuts, and give all players equal playing time on their Boys Junior Varisty Basketball teams, coached by Richard Rapone who is making a huge difference in the athletic program.
