The village is now a well known touristic resort, offering private apartments and agrobusiness. During the winter a ski resort Oščadnica-Veľká Rača is a popular destination. HistoryIn historical records the village was first mentioned in 1712. GeographyThe municipality lies at an altitude of 474 metres and covers an area of 58.634km².
