It is endemic to the Balabac and Palawan islands, the Philippines.[2] Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, rivers, and intermittent rivers.
