He played for the POSCO Atoms throughout his entire career. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player of K-League in 1988 and he participated in the FIFA World Cup for South Korea in 1986 and 1990. On 1 Dec 2016, Seongnam FC announced him as their new manager, after relegated to K League Challenge.[1] Club career statistics
