He is the son of former Luxembourg national football team player John Grettnich. Club careerGrettnich played for three different teams at Luxembourg's highest level and won some local fame when he scored a hattrick in the 2000/2001 Cup Final win against FC Wiltz 71.[1] Having played for FC Etzella Ettelbruck at the end of his career, he went on to manage fellow Nordstad team FC Erpeldange 72 in the Division of Honour.[2] From 9 October 2013 until 21 August 2017 he was the manager of Strassen based football club UNA Strassen.[3] With UNA Strassen he achieved a historical promotion to BGL Ligue in 2015. He managed to avoid relegation twice. After a few bad results, he was sacked from his coaching position. From 6 November 2017 until end of 2018 he was the manager of RFCUL.[4] He retired from his manager position in order "to focus on his professional career, although he stayed with the club, becoming General Manager."[5] HonoursAs player
