Baird & Girard, 1853) }} The Pecos gambusia (Gambusia nobilis) is a species of fish in the family Poeciliidae endemic to the Pecos River in Texas and New Mexico in the United States. This two-inch species, as most of its family, is a livebearer. Females produce broods of up to 40 fry every four to five days. The fish are omnivorous, eating algae and small invertebrates, and are endangered due to loss of their spring-fed desert habitat.[2] References1. ^{{cite journal |author=NatureServe |title=Gambusia nobilis |journal=The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species |volume=2013 |page=e.T8895A18232636 |publisher=IUCN |date=2013 |url=http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/8895/0 |doi=10.2305/IUCN.UK.2013-1.RLTS.T8895A18232636.en |access-date=10 November 2017}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q302443}}{{Cyprinodontiformes-stub}}2. ^{{Cite web|url=http://tpwd.texas.gov/huntwild/wild/species/pecogamb/|title=Pecos Gambusia (Gambusia nobilis)|website=Texas Parks and Wildlife|access-date=2016-05-02}} 5 : Fish of the United States|Gambusia|Fish described in 1853|Taxonomy articles created by Polbot|ESA endangered species |
