It is endemic to Borneo and only known from the lowlands of Sarawak, Malaysia, though it is likely to occur also in Sabah (Malaysia) and northeastern Kalimantan (Indonesia).[2] Its natural habitats are tropical moist lowland forests and intermittent freshwater marshes.
