Pius Cheung (Chinese name: ) is a percussionist and composer, called " a young Chinese-Canadian virtuoso," by the New York Times.[1] He began teaching in the music performance percussion program at the University of Oregon in 2011. He received his Bachelor of Music from the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, his Artist Diploma from The Boston Conservatory, and his Doctorate from the University of Michigan. Associate Professor and Chair of the Percussion Area at the University of Oregon.

  • Goldberg Variations BWV 988, J.S. Bach, arranged for solo marimba (June 2006, Pius Cheung). This was reviewed by Vivian Schweitzer of the New York Times [1]
