Habitat and distributionPlatymantis vitiensis is a locally common species that lives in moist tropical lowland forests, in particular near streams. It can also be found in lesser numbers in gardens, plantations, and in pandans in pastureland. It can be found on Ovalau, Taveuni, Vanua Levu and Viti Levu. It is threatened by habitat loss on these islands, particularly due to the increase in conversion of native forest to plantations.[1]==References== 1. ^1 {{Cite journal | author = Zug, G. | author2 = Watling, D. | author3 = Morrison, C. | last-author-amp = yes | title = Cornufer vitiensis | journal = The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume = 2004 | page = e.T58484A11775844 | publisher = IUCN | date = 2004 | url = http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/58484/0 | doi = 10.2305/IUCN.UK.2004.RLTS.T58484A11775844.en | access-date = 11 January 2018}} 2. ^{{cite web |url=http://research.amnh.org/vz/herpetology/amphibia/Amphibia/Anura/Ceratobatrachidae/Platymantis/Platymantis-vitiensis |title=Platymantis vitiensis (Girard, 1853) |author=Frost, Darrel R. |year=2014 |work=Amphibian Species of the World: an Online Reference.
