As of the 2010 census, its population was 508 and it contained 202 housing units.[3] HistoryPosey Township was organized in 1823.[4] It was named for Governor Thomas Posey.[5] The William Lowry House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.[6] GeographyAccording to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of {{convert|31.15|sqmi}}, of which {{convert|31.1|sqmi}} (or 99.84%) is land and {{convert|0.05|sqmi}} (or 0.16%) is water.[3] Unincorporated towns
