释义 |
The Proclamation Gallery is a part of St James's Palace in London, England. It is used after the death of a reigning monarch. The Accession Council meets to declare the new monarch from the deceased monarch's line. Once the monarch makes a sacred oath to the council, the Garter King of Arms steps onto the Proclamation Gallery, which overlooks Friary Court to announce the new monarch.[1][2] References1. ^{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Xy1b2k7ce2EC&pg=PT102&dq=%22Proclamation+Gallery%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiazfGVi_jWAhVGtBoKHacFCg8Q6wEIKTAA#v=onepage&q=%22Proclamation%20Gallery%22&f=false|title=Fodor's London 2014|last=Fodor's|date=2013-08-13|publisher=Fodor's Travel|isbn=9780770432201|language=en}} {{coord|51.5044|-0.1375|type:landmark_region:GB-WSM|display=title}}{{UK-royal-stub}}2. ^{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=vXP9mp3C7X4C&pg=PA338&dq=%22Proclamation+Gallery%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiazfGVi_jWAhVGtBoKHacFCg8Q6AEILjAB#v=onepage&q=%22Proclamation%20Gallery%22&f=false|title=The British Monarchy For Dummies|last=Wilkinson|first=Philip|date=2007-01-30|publisher=John Wiley & Sons|isbn=9780470059319|language=en}} 2 : Buildings and structures in the City of Westminster|Palaces in London |
