It is endemic to southern Sri Lanka and known from the both sides of the Horton Plains (near Agarapatana and Haputale).[1][3] Its natural habitats are closed-canopy forests but it also occurs in open, anthropogenic habitats. It is an uncommon species threatened by the encroachment of tea plantations, firewood collection, expanding human settlements, and agro-chemical pollution.[1] ==References== 1. ^1 2 {{cite journal | authors = Manamendra-Arachchi, K. & Pethiyagoda, R. | title = Pseudophilautus silus | journal = IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume= 2004 | page = e.T58904A11853057 | year = 2004 | doi = 10.2305/IUCN.UK.2004.RLTS.T58904A11853057.en }} {{Taxonbar|from=Q28061905}}{{Rhacophoridae-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://novataxa.blogspot.com/2011/07/herpetology-2005-27-new-pseudophilautus.html |title=27 new Pseudophilautus (firstly: Philautus) • Sri Lankan Shrub Frogs (Rhacophorinae)|publisher=Novataxa|accessdate=3 February 2019|date=July 2011}} 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://research.amnh.org/vz/herpetology/amphibia/Amphibia/Anura/Rhacophoridae/Rhacophorinae/Pseudophilautus/Pseudophilautus-silus |title=Pseudophilautus silus (Manamendra-Arachchi and Pethiyagoda, 2005) |author=Frost, Darrel R. |year=2015 |work=Amphibian Species of the World: an Online Reference.
