The European Union does not set public holidays for its member states. However the European Commission does set public holidays for the employees of the institutions of the European Union.

The holidays will typically cover the following dates (example below from 2017 [1]):

1 January New Year's Day (not published in 2017 since it falls on Sunday)
2 January Day following New Year's Day
13 April (Thursday before Easter) Maundy Thursday
14 April (Friday before Easter) Good Friday
17 April (Monday after Easter) Easter Monday
1 May Labour Day
9 May Europe Day
25 May Ascension Thursday
26 May the Friday following Ascension Day
5 June Whit Monday
21 July Belgian National Day
15 August Assumption
1 November All Saints' Day
2 November All Souls Day
25 December to 29 December inclusive End-of-year days, including Christmas

This list includes all ten public holidays in Belgium, except for Armistice Day (11 November).
