{{refimprove|date=December 2009}}Puyallup School District is a school district that supports the City of Puyallup, Washington and surrounding area. Organized in 1854, The Puyallup School District was the third school district formed in the state of Washington.[1] It is the 8th largest school district in Washington. The District has twenty-one elementary schools, seven junior high schools, three senior high schools and an alternative school, together which serve over 22,000 students. A new southwest elementary school named Dessie Evans Elementary is currently being built on 144th St E and 86th Ave E in South Hill. The district employs more than 1,250 certificated, 1,400 classified staff, and 850 substitute personnel. High schools- Puyallup High School (Region III, Main)
