| 释义 | {{Unreferenced|date=December 2009}} Sir Reginald Arthur Gamble was born in 1862. He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University and joined the Indian Civil Service in 1881. He was an accomplished Tennis player and played several times at The Championships, Wimbledon. Following a distinguished career in which he was at the forefront of the Financial Department in the Punjab he retired in 1918 after the death of his only son Ralph Dominic Gamble and worked for a further four years in China before returning to England.
