One controversy about this book is that Davies consciously anglicised most of proper names (including placenames and pseudonyms used by Polish conspirators) in the book in order to bring its reality closer to the English reader and help them concentrate on the story, rather than difficult Polish names.{{Citation needed|date=November 2017}} References
