College credits can be earned at Robert E. Lee Academy through Central Carolina Technical College.[4] AthleticsAlthough the school was founded to preserve segregation, the football teams of Robert E. Lee and Lee Central, whose student body is 96% black, meet together for an annual pregame meal, and have for a dozen years.[5] References1. ^1 {{cite web |title=Private School Universe Survey |url=https://nces.ed.gov/surveys/pss/privateschoolsearch/school_detail.asp?Search=1&SchoolName=Robert+E.+Lee+Academy&State=45&NumOfStudentsRange=more&IncGrade=-1&LoGrade=-1&HiGrade=-1&ID=01265066 |publisher=NCES |accessdate=3 December 2018}} 2. ^{{cite book |last1=Estes |first1=Steve |title=Charleston in Black and White: Race and Power in the South after the Civil Rights Movement |publisher=he University of North Carolina Press |isbn=9781469622323 |page=93}} 3. ^{{cite journal|title=Landing on the Wrong Note: The Price We Paid for Brown|author=Gloria Ladson-Billings|pages=3–13|journal=Educational Researcher|volume=33|number=7|date=October 2004|jstor=3700092|doi=10.3102/0013189x033007003}} 4. ^{{cite web|title=About|url=http://www.releeacademy.org/home/?page_id=2|publisher=Robert E.
