Sahifah Hammam ibn Munabbih is sometimes quoted as one of the earliest known hadith collections,[1] but its original form has not been preserved.[2][3] It was composed by 8th century scholar Hammam ibn Munabbih. It has been translated, in the 20th century, by Muhammad Hamidullah. Two copies of Sahifa Hammam bin Munabbih manuscript were discovered; one in a Damascus library and the other in a library in Berlin. Dr. Hamidullah published it after carefully comparing the two manuscripts.[4]Hammam bin Munabbih (b. 19h) was a disciple of Abu Hurairah.
