释义 |
Scroll Quest is a real life treasure hunt. A coin is hidden in the continental US or lower 48 states (does not include Alaska or Hawaii). A scroll is then distributed for the amount of 5 US dollars to all those who wish to participate. There are clues, cyphers, anagrams, hints, puzzles, riddles, and general history knowledge along with much more contained within the scrolls. All of these clues point towards the location of the coin. The person or group of people who locates and obtains the coin first wins the prize. The prize varies on what theme the current treasure hunt is over. All contain precious stones and/or metals. These quests inspire people to think about history, geography, symbols, patterns, and general knowledge such as grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. StaffJason King is the creator of Scroll Quest and designs most of the riddles and clues therein. Evan Jensen creates the art work that accompanies all of the scrolls. He is also their web designer, and creates all promotional materials. Anime artist Steve Bennet IV joined the team briefly, penciling a short-lived webcomic on the Scroll Quest homepage and creating an alternate "manga" version of the Idol of Xi scroll. CriticismScroll Quest has a history of delayed shipments or no shipments at all, a lack of customer service response, and failure to pay out prize winnings. ScrollQuest has been reported to the Better Business Bureau and has an "unsatisfactory record" on file with the BBB. They have also been reported to the Federal Trade Commission for illegal internet trade practices.[1] Two of the three coins from the original three scrolls have been found. The Guardian Amulet and The Idol of Xi coins have been found. No prizes were ever delivered to the finders. References1. ^ScrollQuest Official Forums at Tweleve.org == External links ==
