He is a striker or a winger. CareerTaylforth rose through the trainee ranks at Bradford City. He made his debut in a Football League Trophy game against Doncaster Rovers on 4 September 2007 which Bradford lost 5–1.[2] Despite Taylforth's first team chances being limited, City manager Stuart McCall said the youngster was one to keep an eye on.[3] Taylforth's second game was his FA Cup debut when he came on as a substitute in Bradford's second round defeat against Tranmere Rovers in December 2007.[4] A month later he joined Conference National side Droylsden on loan.[5] He made his debut for Droylsden as a second-half substitute the following day against Cambridge City, for whom Bradford teammate Luke Medley was also making his debut in a loan spell, with Droylsden winning 1–0 in the FA Trophy.[6] He also played two Conference National league games during his loan spell before returning to Bradford in February. A month later he joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Guiseley on another month-long loan deal.[7] He made his debut for Guiseley as a second-half substitute on 24 March 2008 in a 0–0 draw with Stamford.[8] The following week he scored his first goal, with the final goal of a 2–2 draw with Fleetwood Town.[9] He was one of three junior players to be offered a new deal by manager Stuart McCall on 29 April 2008,[10] and was rewarded with his first league appearance four days later in City's 2–1 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers on the final day of the 2007–08 season.[11] In October 2008, Taylforth rejoined Guiseley, on another one-month loan deal,[12] going on to score on his first game back for Guiseley in a 2–2 draw with Matlock Town.[13] References1. ^1 2 {{Cite book | editor-first = Barry J. | editor-last = Hugman | title = The PFA Footballers' Who's Who 2009–10 | year = 2009 | publisher = Mainstream Publishing | isbn = 978-1-84596-474-0}} 2. ^{{cite news|work=Telegraph & Argus|url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/search/display.var.1664485.0.night_to_forget_for_battered_bantams.php|title=Night To Forget For Battered Bantams|first=Simon|last=Parker|date=5 September 2007|accessdate=20 January 2008}} 3. ^{{Cite news |url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/1789676.McCall_keeping_eye_on_young_winger/ |title=McCall keeping eye on young winger |last=Parker |first=Simon |date=26 October 2007 |work=Telegraph & Argus |access-date=20 January 2008}} 4. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/search/display.var.1874993.0.rovers_in_a_different_league.php|title=Rovers in a different league|date=2 December 2007|accessdate=4 March 2008|work=Telegraph & Argus|first=Simon|last=Parker}} 5. ^{{cite news|url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/droylsden/7183752.stm|title=Droylsden capture Bradford pair|accessdate=11 January 2008|date=11 January 2008|publisher=BBC Sport}} 6. ^{{cite news|title=Droylsden 1 Cambridge City 0|url=http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/fc_united/s/1031814_droylsden_1_cambridge_city_0|accessdate=20 January 2008|date=13 January 2008|first=Tony|last=Glennon}} 7. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportlatest/display.var.2123709.0.pugh_rescues_point_for_guiseley.php|title=Pugh rescues point for Guiseley|date=16 March 2008|accessdate=17 March 2008|work=Telegraph & Argus|first=Ian|last=Whiting}} 8. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportlatest/display.var.2142613.0.guiseley_cannot_break_down_stamford.php|title=Guiseley cannot break down Stamford|date=24 March 2008|accessdate=25 March 2008|work=Telegraph & Argus|first=Ian|last=Whiting}} 9. ^{{Cite news |url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/2157262.Taylforth_makes_a_point_for_Guiseley/ |title=Taylforth makes a point for Guiseley |last=Whiting |first=Ian |date=30 March 2008 |work=Telegraph & Argus |access-date=30 March 2008}} 10. ^{{Cite news |url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/2234555.Johnson_one_of_13_axed_by_City/ |title=Johnson one of 13 axed by City |last=Parker |first=Simon |date=29 April 2008 |work=Telegraph & Argus |access-date=29 April 2008}} 11. ^{{Cite news |url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/2245995.WYCOMBE_2_CITY_1/ |title=Wycombe 2 City 1 |last=Parker |first=Simon |date=3 May 2008 |work=Telegraph & Argus |access-date=3 May 2008}} 12. ^{{cite news|url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bradford_city/7656527.stm|title=Taylforth joins Guiseley on loan|date=7 October 2008|accessdate=7 October 2008|publisher=BBC Sport}} 13. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/football/footballguiseey/3736107.Bantams_loan_star_makes_instant_impact/|title=Bantams loan star makes instant impact|date=7 October 2008|accessdate=11 October 2008|work=Telegraph & Argus|first=Ian|last=Whiting}} External links
