South Lyon Community Schools is an accredited public school district in Oakland County, Michigan. It serves {{convert|83|sqmi|km2}} including Lyon Township, the City of South Lyon, Green Oak, and Salem Township.{{citation needed|date=January 2015}} It also serves portions of Novi.^[1] The school district was originally created in 1876.
