释义 |
The Special Surveillance Group (SSG) is a highly classified unit of non – special agents within the Federal Bureau of Investigation specializing in clandestine vehicular and foot surveillance of foreign nationals and U.S. citizens known or suspected of engaging in espionage or terrorism, both in the U.S. as well as around the world. SSG members are titled "Investigative Specialists". Informally they have been called "Ghosts" due to their specialized training. These Investigative Specialists attend nine weeks[1] of specialized training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia.[2] They carry FBI credentials and badges, and conduct investigative work alongside special agents and Intelligence Analysts. SSG ranks may also be weaponized at the discretion of the FBI director.[3] References1. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.fbijobs.gov/career-paths/surveillance |title=Surveillance Careers | FBIJOBS |publisher=Fbijobs.gov |date= |accessdate=2017-03-25}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.ericoneill.net/faq |title=Eric ONeill |publisher=Eric ONeill |date= |accessdate=2017-02-01}} 3. ^{{cite web |url=http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Spying_on_spy_Raw_Story_interviews_0612.html |title=Spying on the spy: Raw Story interviews former FBI investigator Eric O'Neill |publisher=The Raw Story |date= |accessdate=2017-02-01}} External links
