Early lifeSkrovan grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and went to Gilmour Academy during his high-school years. He majored in English and was a varsity football defensive back at Yale,[1] where he graduated with a B.A. in 1979. CareerSkrovan began his career as a stand-up comic.[2] He hosted a short-lived talk show on MTV, Mouth to Mouth, in 1988. In 1989, he became the original host of Totally Hidden Video, which aired on FOX from 1989-1992. Starting in 1991, he was the host for the first two seasons of the game show That's My Dog on what was then The Family Channel. Skrovan co-wrote the 1993 Seinfeld episode "The Movie". He was then a writer for the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, which ran from 1996 to 2005.[3] Skrovan produced the 2005 TV special Earth to America, which covered environmental issues. He wrote, produced, and directed An Unreasonable Man, a 2006 documentary about Ralph Nader.[2] He then worked as a producer on the 2006-2010 show 'Til Death, which starred former Raymond cast member Brad Garrett. Since 2014, Skrovan has co-hosted the weekly Ralph Nader Radio Hour program[4] from the Pacifica Radio Network. Personal lifeSkrovan is married and has two children.
