Area and location
The park is {{convert|1058|acre|km2}} of land and {{convert|200|acre|km2}} of water.
The park is located off Ohio SR 727 in Wayne Township.
History
The land for the park was acquired in 1948, and a dam at the west side of the lake was completed in 1950,[5] which created the lake.[6]
Since the park's inception, there was a wastewater leak that damaged the ecology of the lake.[7] The lake was dredged in the early-mid 1990s to restore the contamination levels of the lake to those that are safe for wildlife and swimming.
