He was diagnosed with testicular cancer on 25 June 2007, his 28th birthday. He underwent an operation and then completed radiotherapy treatment on 11 September.[2] Joly joined former team {{ct|FDJ|2015}} as a coach for the 2015 season.[3] Major results{{div col|colwidth=30em}}
