Takhtamukay ({{lang-ru|Тахтамука́й}}; {{lang-ady|Тэхъутэмыкъуай}} {{IPA-ady|taχʷtaməqʷaːj|}}, Teh̦utemyqwaj) is a rural locality (an aul) and the administrative center of Takhtamukaysky District of the Republic of Adygea, Russia, located {{convert|118|km|sp=us}} northwest of Maykop. Population: {{ru-census|p2010=5,214|p2002=5,117|p1989=5,212}} Before 1990, it was called the settlement of Oktyabrsky ({{lang|ru|Октя́брьский}}).
