PackagingWith the use of a multi-layer retort pouch, Tasty Bite products remain fresh for 18 months. During the manufacturing process, food is filled into these pouches, after which they are sealed and cooked to a finish in a retort oven under high temperature and pressure. The sealing and construction of the pouch ensures that no bacteria or other degrading factors can affect the food – it is sterilized inside the pouch. This process also ensures a high retention of the food’s original aroma, texture, nutrients and flavor. The pouches are BPA free. The Tasty Bite product line is manufactured at its plant in Bhandgaon, about 68 miles outside of Pune, India. The vegetables used are grown in a private farm owned and managed by the company.
