At the 2010 census, its population was 1,200.[1] HistoryThe Richland-Plummer Creek Covered Bridge and Scotland Hotel are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[2] GeographyAccording to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of {{convert|42.36|sqmi}}, of which {{convert|42.27|sqmi}} (or 99.79%) is land and {{convert|0.09|sqmi}} (or 0.21%) is water.[1] The streams of Black Ankle Creek, Bogard Creek, Burcham Branch, Clifty Branch, Dowden Branch, Flyblow Branch and Stone Branch run through this township.
