The international field included 6 World Champions (Phil Hellmuth Jr, Noel Furlong, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Juan Carlos "El Matador" Mortensen, Chris Moneymaker and Greg "Fossilman" Raymer) together with numerous other professionals and celebrities. The tournament was competed in pot limit hold'em format. Format8 preliminary matches were held, each with 16 players. The winner advanced directly to the Grand Final, and the runner-up advanced to the Semi-Final. The Semi-Final featured the 8 runners-up, who played each other for the one remaining seat in the Grand Final. The winner received €250,000 from the €720,880 prize pool. Episodes were broadcast during 2004 on Sky Sports.
