A 6'3" guard from the Kearney State College, Kropp played two seasons (1975–1977) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Washington Bullets and Chicago Bulls. He averaged 2.5 points per game. Kropp has spent over thirty years as a coach at his alma mater, now known as the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Kropp is the father of Dominique Kropp, Ph.D. student at the University of Kansas. Dominique recently represented the University of Kansas at the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
