- A common name for Cusk (fish),
- USS Torsk (SS-423), a World War II submarine in the Pacific Theater, built 1944, which sank the last two Japanese ships of the war in August 1945. Had the greatest number of dives in the U.S. Navy before retired in 1968. Now on exhibit since 1972 as a floating museum in the Inner Harbor of downtown Baltimore, Maryland, part of the fleet of the Baltimore Maritime Museum/Historic Ships in Baltimore.
