It has 38 stories, stands at {{convert|177|m|ft|sp=us}} tall and was completed in 2001. It was designed by the architectural firm, Cohos Evamy. The tower overlooks James Short Park. The TransCanada Tower houses the head offices of TransCanada Corporation. It also is the Calgary location for sittings and hearings of the Court of Appeal of Alberta.[2] See also
