A total of twelve ten-car sets were converted in 1995 from former TRTA 5000 series sets. The fleet was retired from service in December 2006, replaced by the Tōyō Rapid 2000 series. The last three sets to be withdrawn (1061, 1081, 1091) were shipped to Indonesia in 2006 and 2007, where they are operated by KRL Jabodetabek on suburban services in the Jakarta area.[1] OperationsUntil December 2006
Since January 2007
FormationsThe ten-car sets operated by Toyo Rapid Railway were formed of eight motored ("M") cars and two non-powered trailer ("T") cars as shown below, with the "CT1" car at the eastern end.[2]
Former identitiesThe original TRTA set numbers were as shown below.[2]
Overseas operationsThree ten-car sets (1061, 1081, and 1091) were shipped to Indonesia from 2006 for use on suburban services operated by Kereta Commuter Indonesia (previously called "KA Commuter Jabodetabek" or "KRL Jabodetabek") in Jakarta from January 2007.[3] The sets were initially reduced to eight-car formations, but former set 1061 was withdrawn in December 2015, and set 1091 was split to donate a pair of intermediate cars to lengthen set 1081 to ten cars and also to former Tokyo Metro 5000 series set 5817 to lengthen that set to ten cars also.[3] References{{commons category}}1. ^{{cite journal | script-title=ja: インドネシアで活躍する日本の電車2009 |trans-title=Japanese EMUs active in Indonesia 2009 | journal = The Railway Pictorial | volume = 59 | issue = 824 |pages=102–107 | date = October 2009 }} {{DEFAULTSORT:Toyo Rapid 1000 series}}2. ^1 2 {{cite magazine|script-title=ja:東葉高速鉄道1000形 |trans-title=Tōyō Rapid 1000 series |magazine=Japan Railfan Magazine |volume = 36|issue = 419 |pages=60–61 |publisher = Koyusha Co., Ltd. |location = Japan |language= Japanese |date = March 1996}} 3. ^1 {{cite magazine|last = Takagi |first = Satoru |script-title=ja: ジャカルタ 東京地下鉄関連の車両|trans-title= Tokyo Metro rolling stock in Jakarta |magazine = Japan Railfan Magazine |volume = 58|issue = 681 |page = 124 |publisher = Koyusha Co., Ltd. |location = Japan |language = Japanese |date = January 2018}} 3 : Electric multiple units of Japan|Train-related introductions in 1995|Transport in Jakarta |
