There are 160 local groups of UFC Que Choisir in France.[2] UFC Que Choisir defends the rights of consumers in litigation against corporations, and pushes for public policies reinforcing the rights of consumers. It publishes a magazine called Que Choisir ("What to Choose"). Data privacyIt filed a lawsuit in France's Tribunal de Grande Instance against Facebook, Google, and Twitter for “abusive” and “illegal” practices regarding data privacy and their failure to modify their privacy policies and terms of service despite repeated warnings and months of negotiations. They faulted the terms of services for being "incomprehensible, illegible, filled with hyperlinks...and sometimes referring to pages in English". Their statement accused the companies of shirking responsibility: “If the social media networks are particularly greedy in terms of data, they are dieting when it comes to responsibility”.[3] References1. ^{{cite web|title=UFC-Que Choisir: Qui sommes-nous|url=http://www.quechoisir.org/l-association/ufc-que-choisir-ufc-que-choisir-qui-sommes-nous|publisher=UFC-Que Choisir|accessdate=31 March 2014}} {{Consumers International}}{{France-org-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|title=Un Litige? : Contactez l’association locale la plus proche|url=http://www.quechoisir.org/un-litige|publisher=UFC-Que Choisir}} 3. ^{{cite news|last=Best|first=Jo|title=Google, Facebook, Twitter face lawsuit over 'illegible, incomprehensible' privacy policies|url=http://www.zdnet.com/google-facebook-twitter-face-lawsuit-over-illegible-incomprehensible-privacy-policies-7000027780/|newspaper=ZDNet|date=27 March 2014}} 2 : Consumer organizations in France|Members of Consumers International |
