The Ukrainian national basketball team is the national men's basketball team that represents Ukraine in international tournaments.[1]. It is organized and run by the Ukrainian Basketball Federation. Since the independence of the country in 1991, and joining FIBA in 1992, the national team has competed at the EuroBasket 8 times, and reaching the FIBA World Cup once in 2014.

History

Ukraine's best result to date was finishing 6th at EuroBasket 2013 with six wins. The result was enough to help the national team qualify for the 2014 FIBA World Cup after defeating Italy in the 5th-8th place game. The only major global event that the national team has yet to qualify for is the Summer Olympics.
