Filters and convertersODF to UOFSoftware is available to convert from ODF to UOF and the other way round.[9] The software was developed between November 2005 and October 2006 by the Open Standard Lab of Peking University.[10] OOXML to UOFSoftware is being developed at ACT (The Institute of Advanced Computing Technology) at Beihang University to convert from OOXML to UOF and vice versa.[11] Possibility of merging UOF and ODFAt the "World Trade Organization IPRs Issues in Standardization" conference in Beijing (April 2007), convened by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the China State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and Sun Microsystems, Scott McNealy, the Chairman of Sun Microsystems called for a merger of OASIS/ISO's ODF and China's UOF.[12] While both formats are open, there are significant technical challenges in achieving a merger, as the two formats have made different fundamental choices in how to describe documents.[13][14] A comparison document between ODF and UOF is available from the ODF-UOF project on SourceForge.[15] UOF 2.0UOF 2.0 was released in 2011, with support from WPS Office.[16] References1. ^{{Cite web| title= Microsofts Office Open XML: Heftiger Gegenwind aus China|url= http://www.golem.de/0708/54166.html| language = German |accessdate= 21 November 2012| publisher= Golem | location = DE | date =16 August 2007| first = Jens| last=Ihlenfeld}} 2. ^{{Cite web|first=Andy|last = Updegrove |url=http://consortiuminfo.org/standardsblog/article.php?story=20080721140512962|title=Don't Forget UOF: Here Comes EIOffice 2009 (Updated 2×) |date=21 July 2008|accessdate=21 November 2012|publisher = Consortium Info]}} 3. ^{{Citation|url=http://www.evermoresw.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=7&Itemid=169 |title=EIOffice documentation |publisher=Ever more SW }}{{dead link|date=June 2016|bot=medic}}{{cbignore|bot=medic}} 4. ^1 {{Cite web|title=File formats OOo can open|url= http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Getting_Started/File_formats | date = 17 July 2010 | accessdate =21 November 2012|publisher=OpenOffice.org|work= Wiki}} 5. ^{{Cite web|first= Chris| last= Kanaracus | title = LibreOffice Releases 'enterprise-ready' Version 3.4.2 | publisher = IDG News Service | work=PC World|url=https://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/237033/libreoffice_releases_enterpriseready_version_342.html|date=1 August 2011 | accessdate =21 November 2012}} 6. ^{{Cite web|url= http://betanews.com/2007/05/21/microsoft-claims-it-s-format-agnostic-in-appeal-to-chinese-office-users/ |title=Microsoft Claims It's Format-Agnostic in Appeal to Chinese Office Users|accessdate=2 December 2012 | first =Scott M.|last=Fulton|date=21 May 2007|publisher= Betanews}} 7. ^http://www.wps.cn/news/shownews/id-217.htm 8. ^http://www.wps.cn/news/shownews/id-294.htm 9. ^{{Cite web |url=http://odf-to-uof.sourceforge.net/ |title= ODF-UOF Converter| first = Xie | last =Shuangbin|date=20 November 2006|publisher= Sourceforge|accessdate= 21 November 2012}} 10. ^{{Cite web|url = http://odf-to-uof.sourceforge.net/overview.html|title=ODF-UOF Converter Overview | first = Xie|last= Shuangbin|date=20 November 2006|publisher=Sourceforge | accessdate =21 November 2012}} 11. ^{{Cite web | url = http://uof-translator.sourceforge.net/ | title = UOF OpenXML Translator-uofooxml | publisher=Sourceforge|accessdate=21 November 2012}} 12. ^http://www.consortiuminfo.org/standardsblog/article.php?story=20070417025728436 13. ^{{Cite web|title=Sun's McNealy Proposes Merging ODF with Chinese Counterpart|url=http://betanews.com/2007/04/18/sun-s-mcnealy-proposes-merging-odf-with-chinese-counterpart/|publisher=Betanews|first=Scott M.|last=Fulton|date=18 April 2007}} 14. ^{{Cite web|url=http://www.ip-watch.org/2007/04/24/open-source-standards-get-a-boost-in-china/?res=1024_ff&print=0|title=Open Source, Standards Get A Boost In China|first=William|last=New|publisher=Intellectual Property Watch|accessdate=21 November 2012|date=24 April 2007}} 15. ^{{Cite web|url=http://sourceforge.net/projects/odf-to-uof/files/ODF-UOF%20v1.0/ODF-UOF-comparison/|title=Download ODF-UOF Converter Comparison|format=zipped .doc|publisher=Sourceforge|accessdate=21 November 2012|date=23 November 2006}} 16. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://tech.sina.com.cn/s/2011-01-25/01201641231.shtml|title=应用解读 金山WPS新版首家支持UOF2.0|trans-title=The new version of Kingsoft WPS supports UOF2.0|language=Chinese|date=25 January 2011|publisher=tech.sina.com.cn|accessdate=16 November 2014|author=Jianghui Tian}} External links
