}}James Vernon Handrahan (November 27, 1936 – November 2, 2016) was a Canadian pitcher in Major League Baseball who played his entire career for the Kansas City Athletics. He is noted for being one of only three Major League Baseball players from Prince Edward Island, the others being 19th-century players George Wood and Henry Oxley.[1] Handrahan was originally signed by the Milwaukee Braves as an amateur free agent in {{Baseball year|1959}}. He was later drafted by the Athletics from the Braves in the {{Baseball year|1962}} minor league draft. He appeared in 34 games for the Athletics in {{Baseball year|1964}} and {{Baseball year|1966}}, primarily as a relief pitcher.
