释义 |
The Vienna coup is an unblocking technique in contract bridge made in preparation for a squeeze play.[1] It is so named because it was originally published by James Clay (1804-1873) after observing it being executed in the days of whist by "the greatest player in Vienna" — identity unknown.[2] Examples{{BridgeHandNES|Label = Example 1 |Lead = South to lead |A J|A|—|2 |K Q|K 4|—|— |4|Q 2|—|A}} On the play of the {{Clubs}}A by South, East is squeezed but can escape by throwing a small heart. Although the {{Hearts}}Q is now set up, South must next play either the {{hearts}}Q, {{hearts}}2 or {{spades}}4 to be won in dummy and has no entry back to cash it; he must now lose a spade to East.{{Clear}}{{BridgeHandNES |Label = Example 2 |Lead = North to lead |A J|—|—|2 |K Q|K|—|— |4|Q|—|A}} However, if instead, South plays the {{Hearts}}2 to the {{Hearts}}A, East is squeezed when declarer next leads the {{clubs}}2 to the ace. |Label = Example 3 |Lead = South to lead |A J|—|2|— |K Q|K|—|— |4|Q|—|A}} In this layout there is no way to get back to the hand by playing the {{clubs}}2 to the ace. In this case, the {{Hearts}}A must have been cashed already at an earlier stage to squeeze East when declarer leads the {{clubs}}A and discards the {{diamonds}}2 from the table.{{Clear}} References1. ^{{OEB|7|470}} {{WPCBIndex}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Vienna Coup}}2. ^{{cite book |last1 = Culbertson |first1 = Ely, Editor |authorlink1 = Ely Culbertson |title = The Encyclopedia of Bridge |edition = |publisher = The Bridge World, Inc |location = New York |page = 453 |series = |year = 1935 |doi = |isbn = }} 1 : Contract bridge coups |
