Violaines is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.

Geography

An ex-coalmining region, Violaines is situated some {{convert|7|mi|km|1}} east of Béthune and {{convert|17|mi|km|1}} southwest of Lille, at the junction of the D167 and D947 roads.
