释义 |
Voice of God Collective is a British jazz music group led by guitarist Billy Jenkins, working mainly in the 1980s and 1990s. He used many of Britain's finest young jazz musicians, whom he plucked from obscurity while they rehearsed at Wood Wharf Studios in Greenwich, such as Django Bates, Iain Ballamy, The Fun Horns of Berlin and Steve Arguelles. Albums have been released on VOTP Records and Babel Label. The name of the band comes from the quote "Vox populi, vox Dei" (originally attributed to the monk Alcuin), which Jenkins rewrote to be "The Voice of God is the Voice Of The People. And the religion is MUSIC".{{Citation needed|date=October 2010}} External links
