Walter Volodymyr Petryshyn (Vladimir Petryshin) (born 22 January 1929 in Liashky Murovani, Lviv) is a famous Ukrainian mathematician. On May 6, 1996 Petryshyn killed his wife, Ukrainian-American painter Arcadia Olenska-Petryshyn.
