ServicesSouth Western Railway runs trains every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and every 60 minutes on Sundays between {{rws|Ascot}} and {{rws|Guildford|Surrey}} via {{rws|Aldershot}}.[1] A few of Great Western Railway's trains between {{rws|Reading}} and {{rws|Redhill}} call at Wanborough. On Mondays-Fridays as of 2016 these are: four trains per day to Redhill (one early morning, two late afternoon and one late night); five trains per day to Reading (four morning and one late evening) On Saturdays there is one very late evening train to {{rws|Gatwick Airport}} on Saturdays, and two (one early morning and one evening) to Reading. British Railways closed the station's signal box in 1966, on the day that it commissioned the then-new signal box at Ash Crossing. Ash Crossing signal box has itself since been decommissioned and demolished. BR made Wanborough unstaffed in 1987. The station is {{convert|34|mi|29|chain|km|lk=in}} from Waterloo (measured via {{stnlnk|Worplesdon}} and milepost {{frac|30|1|4}} at {{stnlnk|Guildford|Surrey}}), and has two platforms, which can each accommodate a four-coach train.[2] Much of Wanborough's train service has been remarkably unchanged over the years.
